Overview

Enjoy a walking tour of the subterranean depths of the Colosseum in a small-group. With your professional guide, have access to the areas of the Colosseum--even those areas normally restricted to visitors. Explore the underground chambers and see where wild animals were caged. Then visit the Roman Forum on your own to see some of the most important archaeological sites of Rome. Spend around three hours exploring these renown locations.

Meeting points

In front of COLOSSEO METRO Station, Lower Level Exit, nearby the Newsstand and across the road from the Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo 22, Roma 00184. Please don't go to the Metro Upper Level. Our guide will be waiting for you holding a sign that says '' Tours of Rome ''

You can feel the story of the gladiators

We had a wonderful tour! Our guide was so informative but also helped play out the story of the Romans in our mind- you could see the gladiators and how they lived, you could feel the Roman market and how the emperor lived but was full of history, sights and stories. We loved it and it kept our attention!

The tour alongside an archeologist was absolutely amazing. Getting to see every facet of the Colosseum really brought history to life. Highly recommended!!!

Walking through history with a knowledgeable guide

We ended up exchanging for a different tour that included guided tours in the Roman forum and the Palatine Hill instead of the underground of the Colesseum. it was a small group of 8 people. Our tour guide Manuel was very knowledgeable. The tour lasted about 3 hours and we learned a lot about the history of Rome while walking in the ruins. We did not feel rushed as Manuel paused at various places and answered all our questions in detail. It was a very special experience and very worthwhile.
