This was an excellent tour, and Sean was a great guide! Each of our tour guides seemed to add to the knowledge base we built up from listening to the others, and Sean's speciality was the castles in Northumberland, the high end hotel industry in Edinburgh, and cattle thievery along the Scottish Borders. We stopped off in Kelso for the ruins of a priory, Alnwick Castle, and another 2 castles (one was a "castle") - the names of which I've forgotten - and a little house on the Scottish side of the River Tweed that served as a spot for elopements of British couples looking to get hitched without family permission. We walked across the river from Scotland into England. A really great tour, and another really great guide!

We had Sean for our tour to Alnwick…but that’s not all we saw - We had an incredible tour through the romantic countryside with fall foliage, fields of sheep, and stopped in quaint little towns along the way. I wish you had the choice of guide when booking this tour because Sean was the greatest. Trained at the Waldorf Astoria with a courtesy and honesty that will warm your heart, this legend took us around while sharing the history and stories of Scotland along the way making time fly. We had so much fun listening and laughing along with him and sharing in his contagious love for his beautiful land. The bus is a perfect size, comfortable, clean, and the ride is smooth. The tour stops in Kelso for a look at a beautiful old cathedral and enough time to get yourself some breakfast from one of the cafes. You then continue to Alnwick with 3 hours to enjoy the HP scenery, but don’t miss out on the gardens as well! He threw in a few bonus stops along the way home so by the end we actually saw 3 castles! Great Value and great fun! I’m only booking with this company when I travel in the UK.
