Overview

You should do this tour if you love adventure. Puerto Plata with its charms invites you to experience the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua (27 Charcos), discovered just a few years ago and submerged in the beautiful hills of the northern mountain range, this natural monument is part of the system of protected areas of the Dominican Republic. 27 Waterfalls is hidden up in a tropical canyon is a string of waterfalls that you can hike to and slide down, swim under, and jump off on your way back down. You'll head up with a tour guide who will help make sure you're jumping off of safe spots, might explain some of the history of these gorgeous falls, some of which have ancient legends stemming back from the Taino Indians who first discovered this gem, and from my experience will just make the adventure even more fun.

We do not have time slots. We leave the port 45 minutes after your ship docks. Please disembark as quickly as possible and be at the pick-up location no more than 45 minutes after your ship docks. We can pick you up in: Amber Cove, Taino Bay, and within the Puerto ... Plata city, ours service included all hotel of the zone. Amber Cove: the pick up will be outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue. About 10 to 12 minutes walk. Itinerary

The tour begins at the beautiful, new, visitor center. Enjoy traditional Dominican food and beverages in our open-air restaurant with breath-taking mountain views. After we do pick up the gear protection, and life jacket and then the adventures start. The attraction offers a day of hiking through thick forest, crossing footbridges and passing numerous flora before eventually reaching a rocky hilltop where you’ll begin making your way down by jumping or sliding down a series of waterfalls! Up you go! Tours climb up to the 7 waterfall and then return through each level by jumping, swimming, and sliding down natural waterslides, the other waterfalls are closed because lack rainfalls. Life jackets and helmets are included for the protection of our visitors. All activities are included.

Very fun experience, we were first out for the day and so it was nice and quiet and no queuing. Water is very pretty.

My family of 5 booked this trip through Viator after reading several great reviews. My kids are 8, 10, and 14, and every single member of my family would book this trip again in a heart beat. Our guides, driver, and photographer were all excellent. They were friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The hike was not difficult but I would definitely recommend wearing water shoes (I wore flip flops and had to rent shoes from the facility - $2, but think something similar to Keds). My kids wore Crocs and they all did fine in them. We did the trip after 2 days of heavy rain, so we didn’t get to do all 7 waterfalls, but we still had so much fun. I would not hesitate to book through Edwin Transfers Tours again. They were highly communicative about where to meet them and when and it was a great experience.

Our driver and guides were both amazing. The guide help my wife who had limited swimming experience and the driver went above and beyond when I asked him if taxis took credit cards as I was out of cash, he said he would take us to an atm and then he took us to our destination saving us the need for a cab. Truly above and beyond what was needed

Was scheduled for tour with guests from other ship that came in late. We did not have to wait with cruise guarantee excursions. Had private escort to water falls. Driver utilized translation app to provide information on the area and answer our questions. Falls were beautiful and we were happy we got there early. It was packed when we left. Good buffet lunch at falls. Market we stopped at showed how they make cigars and had coffee and larimar for sale cheaper than port.
