Overview

Jiufen & Shifen are the best spots for tourist to take a day trip from Taipei. Jiufen, it was a gold and coal mining town before. Walking on the narrow cobbled street, people can view the historical trace by the old buildings. Drink a cup of Taiwanese tea at Tea House, one of famous iconic landmark in Jiufen, is the must! Shifen, another old town near from Taipei. You can wander on the old rail track and release own sky lanterns. Oh! Please mind that the old rail track is still working. During Weekends & Holidays: There will be traffic control during weekends and holidays. All guests are required to take the Jiufen shuttle to Jiufen Old Street which only takes 10 minutes to arrive. Please prepare a Easycard with at least NT$30 value in it, or bring a total of NT$30 in cash (NT$15 for one way) for paying the shuttle bus ticket.

  • Shifen Old Street

    The street runs alongside active train tracks, lined with shops selling traditional snacks and souvenirs. It is a dream place where you can enjoy the sky lantern activity at your own expense. Write down your wishes on the sky lanterns and release it into the sky to have an unforgettable memories.

  • Shifen Waterfall

    Often called the "Little Niagara of Taiwan," Shifen Waterfall is Taiwan’s widest waterfall. The water’s powerful flow and mist create beautiful rainbows on sunny days, adding a magical touch to the experience.

  • Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street)

    You can stroll in its old cobblestone street and witness the historical period of gold mining during Japanese colonial age. Now Jiufen’s streets and architecture retain a distinctly nostalgic atmosphere, making it one of Taiwan's most popular tourist destinations.

The tour went great for us. Our tour guide Mick was very funny, engaging and helpful. It was abit chaotic at the initial meeting point with multiple tours meeting at the same time, but the tour guides are pros and it all went smoothly. Definitely recommend.

Good tour of Shifen and Jiufen for waterfalls, sky lanterns, shops, and night food. Justin was a great guide, funny and friendly.

Missed our flight so we didnt get to make our original booking but we messaged them hoping to go the next day. They were extremely responsive with emails when i explained our situation, and even notified us that there was a cancellation since the next day was said to be fully booked. Our tour guide justus was informative, funny and friendly. Highlight of our trip, would recommend this tour!

The trip to the place where the queens head is was extraordinary for me a visitor. If you are looking for a place u can be with wonderful creation to reflect and make meaningful retreat, this is the best place to go. Also the waterfalls are amazing. The trip was made even more beautiful by our guide Tina Wang. Very friendly and approachable. She's the best. Will definitely choose her bus to visit this wonderful again Also, the place where the windmills are located is breathtaking. It's a good place for rtreat as well especially if u ride Justin's bus.. like Tina, he's very friendly and shares a lot of information. He loves kids so if you're a traveller with kiddos, choose to ride with Justin. I will surely go back to these places, this time with my family.
