    Let's look around a timeless masterpiece recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unparalleled harmony of architecture and nature. As the best-preserved of the Joseon palaces, Changdeokgung offers a captivating experience in every season. Completed in 1412, it served as the primary royal residence for centuries, hosting the last emperor of Korea until 1926.

    Palace was constructed in 1418 alongside Changdeokgung Palace and primarily functioned as a residential complex for the royal family. Upon the demise of a king, the queens would relocate to this palace. Changgyeonggung Palace holds a wealth of historical accounts that shed light on the intricate relationships within the royal family.

TLDR: Fun, interesting and relaxing all at the same time, this tour was as local as it gets while providing great value! Sam speaks good English, is knowledgeable with interesting historical stories, and most importantly for me, is professional while being also personable. The tour felt more like a nice walk with friends and family than a business — never rushed, never pressured to shop or anything like that. I simply got to immerse myself in what Seoul has to offer: hearing interesting stories that happened in historical palaces, tasting local street food in markets, and seeing beautiful streets and sights — all without the stress and anxiety that I often encounter when planning a trip. Simply put, it was fun and I’ll be recommending this to any of my friends and family who may be visiting Korea! Thanks Sam!

What an incredible experience! Sam was courteous and friendly and filled every corner of the palace tour with stories and information. I learned so much and everything was so beautiful. Great sequencing of small rests and chat, it felt like being around a friend. Food at the market was delicious, and a great way to end the tour. Thanks again Sam!
