    The tour starts outside the York Castle Museum entrance. You'll hear about the ghosts that lurk here and the famous highways man that was held here. Then you'll be guided step by step through the city and hear the ghostly stories of York.

  • Clifford's Tower (Pass By)

    The tour ends at Clifford's Tower where you'll hear of the tragedy that occurred there and why a specific type of flower is said to grow on it's hills.

Fascinating, fun, well worth the cost

Fantastic, really enjoyed this theatrical and dramatic peek into York's gory history. Couldn't believe it was over when it was - I had no idea it had been going so long as I was totally immersed. I'm just sad there aren't more tours in Britain!

What a fabulous self directed informative and fun tour

What a fabulous little self guided tour. It contained great history, humour and easy to follow instructions. It was simple to pause the tour in order to look at something or pit stop for a drink. It was easy to navigate and I love how it auto played so you could concentrate more on the information without being glued to your phone. This was SUCH an enjoyable and easy to follow guide and I would happily do this every day of the week. Couldn't quite work out where the EMF meter was or how to toggle it on. And at one point the narration auto skipped on and I could not replay the last point, but this was minor and did not ruin the experience. Thank you for such a wonderfully put together ghosty jaunt through the beautiful streets and sights of York
