This "In and Out" tour is the perfect way to visit Montreal in the winter because you're never outside for too long. Your professional Guide will take you through the fascinating tunnels that connect the most important buildings in the city. Then you'll step back outdoors to visit hidden courtyards, centuries old churches, festival grounds and so much more. You'll ride Montreal's Métro, famous for its architecture and art collection. You'll make use of the underground network to get around, but you'll see much more than this city within the city - You'll connect with Montreal's dynamic downtown neighborhoods and the people that live, work and play there. The tour begins on time, so please plan on arriving a few minutes early. We will not be able to wait for latecomers. Meet at front doors of 1500 avenue McGill College. Your Guide will meet you there and check you in before beginning the tour.

The world's largest underground pedestrian network is a fascinating feat of urban planning that has inspired many copycat systems throughout the world. See what makes this original network the most extensive of its kind and understand why it works.

    See the cosmopolitain neighbourhoods that make up Montreal's Downtown. The Quartier des spectacles (Entertainment District), Chinatown, the International Quarter, the Financial District, the Golden Square Mile. Admire the architecture, the centuries old neo-gothic cathedrals that stand next to modern skyscrapers, the shopping streets and lively nightlife areas. The festival grounds and museums. Universities and Hockey arenas... Everything that makes Montreal one of the most lively downtown areas on the continent.

A Must Do Tour on arriving in Montreal

Excellent tour which is a “must do” when arriving in Montreal. It gives a Fantastic overview of the city, its history, its culture and how it works. The tour was fantastic in introducing us to the underground city network which is key in getting about and seeing the city. Tom, our guide was excellent, very engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about his city. Really is a must do and great value.

Very informative tour

Tom gave an excellent presentation of the technical, historical and social aspects of building the "Underground City" of Montreal. He welcomed questions and provided comprehensive answers. He used the underground displays to give us a succinct history of Quebec and Montreal. While using the Metro, we heard about its technical aspects through design construction and operation. We enjoyed it very much.
