Overview

The tasting of the four wines and their combinations will be presented and served in our equipped and comfortable tasting room, where all our guests, even if spaced and safely, can enjoy a convivial and unique experience! For all those who have particular diets or intolerances, upon notice at the time of booking in the "notes" field, we are able to meet most dietary needs. The price of the tasting includes everything: tasting, water and food pairings. The structure of the Rocca di Montestaffoli does not provide bar service (coffee, tea, soft drinks, spirits, packaged foods, etc.) It is also possible to participate in the tasting with children. Their participation is free. We remind you that by law it is not possible to give alcohol to minors.

Itinerary

A 45-minute sensory tasting experience for those who love to learn about the oenological excellence of this area historically suited to grapevine and wine. Comfortably seated (spaced and safely) in our tasting room we offer: the sensory tasting of two vintage Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, a Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG Riserva and a "San Gimignano DOC Rosso". The tasting will be well told by our professional sommeliers and great connoisseurs of the history and evolution of this wine-growing area, its wines and the men and women who produce them. In addition, snacks produced in the area will be offered to accompany the wine. Start at 15:00.

Amazing experience in a beautiful location!

This was a great experience in a beautiful location! Our tasting was lead by a knowledgeable man who made this experience really great. He was entertaining and friendly and we learnt so much whilst being taught how to really appreciate wine and the differences in every one. The location is great, we grabbed a glass after our tasting experience and sat on the beautiful outside area on top of a beautiful hill with a fantastic view and musicians adding to an excellent an ambient atmosphere!

A charming 45 minutes tasting four wines and learning a lot about the region and the grapes. Stefan was a good guide who spoke eloquently and with passion about the wines infront of us.

This was an excellent wine tasting led by an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Each wine we tasted was excellent and we learned a great deal and lots of fun.

This is great way to get introduced to the Verrnacia wines of the region as well as basic wine tasting methods. We did the 4 wine tasting, 3 Vernaccia whites and 1 red. The instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly. In a short time you learn a little about the history of the Vernaccia grape, different methods of wine making presently and how the geology of the region affects the wines. After the tasting he was able to point us in the direction of a smaller winery that we visited and loved. Well worth the cost.
