    The Sea to Sky highway (also known as Highway 99) runs from West Vancouver to Whistler, passing Squamish about half way between the two.

We stumbled across Shannon Falls on our way from Vancouver Island to Whistler along the mind blowing Sea to Sky Highway and called in for a break. WOW. Walked from the falls through some lovely woods heading for the Gondola. Managed to get a ticket at the office and so glad we did. The views from the top are astonishing and the restaurant/cafe/bar was a lovely surprise. We sat there for ages just taking it all in. There are lovely walking trails through the woods. We were blessed with sunny weather and we spent several hours there as it was just so beautiful.
