Enjoy a full day, all-inclusive adventure in Wellington, the home of middle-Earth. We are Wellington's original Lord of the Rings tour and have been operating since 2002. Formerly Rover Rings Tours [before Covid], Welly Rings Tours is proud to show you Wellington as Middle-earth. Our fans-turned-guides will share with you fascinating stories of the making of these movies that you likely won't hear anywhere else - mainly because some of our guides were actually there!

Great way to see many of...

Great way to see many of the details behind the making of the Lord of the Rings movies. Our tour guide, Dixie, was extremely enthusiastic about history behind the movies, and it was enjoyable to listen to many of the behind the scenes stories. Visiting the studio was great, as was seeing many of the sites where scenes were filmed. Overall, a great way to spend the day.

Bus was full. Popular tour. It was crisply run and we had a good time with our leader, Seamus. Smaller group would have been nice to allow more elbow room on bus - we got stuck in the back.l of the bus and nobody changed seats from stop to stop.

I can strongly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Wellington - our guide, Grant, was fantastic and views were spectacular - couldn't expect anything more than what was provided.

Amish was a great tour guide. He was very kind and informative. We had a good tour of the city and the Lord of the rings sites. They show you pictures of the places you're going so you know what you're looking at -which was helpful. We had a nice lunch. Definitely recommend

I didn't know what to expect when booking this tour and I can safely say this was one of my favorite tours that I did while in New Zealand. Ross, our tour guide, was amazing and so fun! I loved being able to see the movie scenes that we were sitting at. And all the places we went to for the full day were absolutely amazing. This was well worth the driving around.
