Perfect start to our Athens adventure

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off our trip to Athens! This orientation tour truly lived up to its name, helping us get our bearings while exploring some vibrant neighborhoods in and around the city center. Our guide, Elissavet, was outstanding — knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly attentive. She patiently answered all of our questions and made frequent stops to ensure we fully soaked in the experience. Despite the freezing weather (by Athenian standards), the tour extended nearly an hour over its scheduled time, which we deeply appreciated (and she had confirmed with us at the beginning of our trip). Elissavet went above and beyond by following up with a detailed email recommending restaurants and must-visit spots, which would be invaluable for the rest of our trip. This tour set the tone for an amazing stay in Athens, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended!

Athens - beyond the tourist traps

Such a good start for our week in Athens, to be taken around the “not typical” tourist areas in Athens with a kind and knowledgeable guide. Joseph was fun, and thoughtful, adjusting the tour to the group. What a privilege to experience the city through the eyes of a native.

My husband and I loved this tour! It was so informative and really gives you a look into the daily lives and the history of Athens. Some of the places we went to on this tour, we would have never thought to venture to on our own. It is a lot of walking, so wear good shoes, and know that some of it is uphill!

A great walking tour with a fabulous guide

Several months on we still talk about our great walking tour with Maria-Katerina. We organised very, very last minute and I remain grateful that it was possible within just a few hours. Had a great time walking round different areas of Athens that we wouldn’t have done otherwise. Maria-Katerina managed to cater to both of us covering antiquity and more up to date politics. It was a great day and I really enjoyed our time together. It’s only a matter of time before I try out one of their self guided tours. Highly reccomend - thanks Maria-Katerina!

A nice, breezy way to see Athens

Imagine meeting a friend and taking a nice, long walk through some beautiful neighborhoods - this is what this tour felt lile with Mary-Kate. She was extremely knowledgable, friendly and professional. We were lucky to be the only people on the tour so it ended up becoming a private one. She showed us the lesser known side of Athens and honestly, it was the best way to start our tour of the city. Sure, everybody has heard of the Acropolis and Ancient Agora but do you know the best place for hot chocolate in Athens? No? Well, Mary-Kate does. Ask her ;)
