Great start to our family vacation

We are on a family vacation with our teenager / young adults and were looking for a fun way to explore Athens and its rich food culture. The small group food tour was definitely a highlight for all of us! Andreas, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable and offered a good mix of history, personal stories and cultural insights while walking with us through the different neighborhoods. The food stops we made were well balanced, ranging from breakfast, oil-tasting, to street food, coffee and sweets. We will definitely re-visit some of the places we discovered on the tour!

Great tour in Athens.

In early December of 2024, my wife and I took the Athens walking food tour in the morning. We were in Athens to start an 2 week tour of Greece and Albania and came in a day early to do this tour first. Our guide was Elena and it was just my wife and I on the tour (it’s the slow season in December). Our tour was about 3.5 hours and had numerous stops within the city. The tour itself was much more than a food tour, but was also a history tour and an opportunity to meet someone who lived/worked in Athens. On our food stops we tried many tasty types of food/drink at non-tourist places. On our history stops we learned some the Athens/Greece information. Being with Elena was like walking around with a friend who showed us Athens, sharing her vast knowledge. We learned not only about history/food, but also the culture and about her life in Greece. We also compared the similarities and differences between Greece and the U.S. Overall this tour was wonderful and would highly recommend taking this tour. Ask for Elena if you can.

Excellent! Thoroughly recommend. We are an Australian -Greek family visiting Athens, and I was keen to find good food and steer clear of tourist traps. This tour definitely delivered. Andrea was a fantastic guide, very helpful and informative.

We had a great time with Andreas. It was a very relaxing stroll through Athens with a number of stops for great food. we enjoyed the history and the background of the food that we ate. This was a great way to spend a half day exploring the city.
