Overview

Discover the story of Sydney on this expert-led small-group tour (max. 12 guests), while hitting all of the city’s main attractions. Perfect for those who have just arrived, as well as locals and those who want to go deeper in learning about Australian history, culture, society and First Nations people. Starting from Customs House, you’ll hear about Sydney’s colonisation by the British - and how their arrival impacted the original inhabitants. Your guide will provide you with a range of perspectives on Sydney’s development, introducing Aboriginal leaders, British governors, convicts and entrepreneurs, as well as more recent arrivals. You’ll finish with a beer at a popular brewery with views of the Bridge, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour. We are overdue on writing this review. Upon arriving in Sydney over 2 weeks ago, we started our trip with this tour by Justin. His personality and storytelling had us enthralled. Every person in our group was so impressed by him. If only we had teachers like him in school, perhaps we’d actually remember what we were taught! We expected that every guide in Australia would be of this caliber, but sadly, he ruined it for us. Not one has come close to Justin’s delivery and in depth subject knowledge. There have been so many tours in the last two weeks, where we’ve looked atone another, shaken our heads and said, “he’s no comparison to Justin”! Book this tour with Local Sauce ( and Justin). Walking through the history of Sydney

Finding our meeting point was a challenge. With only a few minutes before the tour started, I was able to communicate with Justin who was able to tell us where we needed to go. Justin was quite knowledgeable which made for a very enjoyable tour. We also enjoyed our visit to the brewery. Thank you Justin for making our visit most enjoyable.

Stop with the jokes Steve

Steve was great at explaining the city, but his jokes were terrible, and I begged him to stop halfway through. The walk is quite long, over three hours, but I think it's a good way to see the city. You can grab a coffee halfway through and finish with a beer. You come away with a firm grasp of the rich heritage of Sydney.
