Come to discover the secrets of truffles in a unique experience among the beautiful mountains of Assisi! Our expert truffle hunter and his adorable Lagotto Romagnolo dog will be your guides on the hidden paths in search of the black gold that these places hold. You will immerse yourself in the magic of nature as you search for and uncover these precious truffles, working closely with the Lagotto dog and bringing them to light with your own hands. It will be an engaging and unforgettable experience, filled with fun and surprises! But that's not all! After the truffle hunt, if you wish, you will have the opportunity to indulge in a tasting of freshly harvested truffles, accompanied by a glass of excellent Umbrian wine (contact us on whatsapp!). Truffle hunting success in Assisi! Wonderful day!

The truffle hunt was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon! Our guide, Gemma, was very knowledgeable about all things truffle and our great truffle hunter dog, Barto, made our hunt a success with various black truffles and a big white truffle as our catch! If you go on a hunt (which I highly recommend), make sure you have good hiking shoes and make sure you can handle a hike in hilly terrain! I’ll name Barto’s owner and guide as M., because I don’t know if he wants to be named. He is an expert truffle person and we were fortunate to have M., Gemma, and Barto to guide us! A-plus day!!

We had a wonderful time truffle hunting with Bartho the dog, Gemma and her partner, the truffle hunter. Bartho led the way while we trudged behind, always excited and happy when he starts barking and scratching at the dirt. We learnt a lot from Gemma, who was happy to share her knowledge and to answer any questions. Come prepared with proper footwear suitable for forest trekking. The amazing scenery was a real bonus! We had so much fun that it didn't matter that the truffles found that day was small. The highlight was when a white truffle was found - the aroma was just amazing! All in all, worth every dollar paid. We love Bartho!! Will do this again when we next visit Assisi.

Unique Italy Experience

This was a fun excursion and a unique experience in Italy. We learned a lot about truffle hunting and what to look for to find them which I was always curious about coming from Oregon where truffles exist. You do go off trail, up and down somewhat steep hillsides so be prepared. But it goes to show that truffle hunting is not a walk in the park!

What an interesting experience this was! Gemma was a great guide and explained truffle hunting in a very informative way. It was very exciting to be part of the truffle hunting experience. I would definitely recommend this experience. Make sure you wear good walking shoes!
