Overview

For lovers of nature! Immerse yourself in the mud volcano surrounded by nature and enjoy the properties for your skin and your health (The volcano contains water, silicon, aluminum, magnesium, calcium, iron among others. We have bilingual guides who will make you live a wonderful experience on the volcano and then we will go to a beach club facing the sea so you can relax and enjoy the pool and the beautiful views.

The collection times in the different neighborhoods will be as follows:: Historic Center: 8 am (Camellón de los Mártires) Bocagrande, Laguito and Castillo Grande: 8:30 pm North Zone; Cabrero, Marbella, Crespo, Boquilla ... and Manzanillo: 9:00 am - 9:15 am Meeting place in La Boquilla: Pedestrian Bridge.   • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Do not wear new clothes, jewelry or wallet inside the volcano. Your belongings will remain inside the bus. Once clients get off the bus, we close the bus until all clients have left the volcano and removed the mud for the safety of their belongings. This place does not have the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia or the Government of BolĂ­var. Spontaneously it is the Totumo Volcano Workers Association and their families who manage this site, that is, they are local and native people who work there, there are 3 people on the tour who will help you by taking photos, giving you massages and helping you. Mud is removed for an extra tip. Bring small bills to tip if you want to use their services.

An excellent day spent mud bathing, ocean swimming and pool lounging. Samuel did a great job as guide! Highly recommended way to spend a day away from the crowds in Cartagena.

It was amazing, one of the best excursions ever. Everyone was so nice and the mud bath was so relaxing skin felt so much better

This was a great adventure!! The mud was cooler than I thought it would be. My daughter, younger cousin and I had a great time. The lunch provided was so delicious!! And the beach resort was very beautiful once you walked inside. It had a great pool, showers to rinse off, and direct beach access right past the pool. Highly recommend this trip if you have time in Cartagena.

Great once in a life time experience

It was a once in a life time experience. First we received a morning snack on the way to the volcano. When we got there we were instructed to leave everything in the bus except our swimming suit, flip flop and camera. Outside of the bus we handed over our shoes and camera to the local so the can take care of them. We climbed the stairs up to the bathing area where you are given a great massage, hanging out for a little while. The guy takes pictures of you get in and out of the pool and while you are enjoying your time in the pool. Now you have to get back down wet and muddy, Which is done very careful. Our shoes were waiting for us at the bottom of the stairs. The second experience is walking down to the watering hole and get washed off by a local women. They do an excellent job. Finally we payed everyone who served us, they come to the bus before you leave to receive their money. The afternoon as spend at a private Beach Hotel area. First we were served a traditional Colombian lunch and than we played in the sea. For a few hours. Returned to Cartagena around 3pm. Suggestion: Wear your swimming suit under your clothes. Bring towels. Bring small bills for tips for the locals . Enjoy!
