Overview

Experience a relaxing tour in Puerto Limon around the city and take in the scenic view of the town. During your tour, you'll go on a Tortuguero canal boat ride, enjoy Playa Bonita's beach, stop beside a banana plantation, and taste local fruit at the Fruit Stand and visit the supermarket. This small-group excursion takes approximately 4 hours, during which you'll learn about the local culture and visit the best of Puerto Limon. This is a great way to make the most of your time at port!

Meeting points

Meet us outside the port in Puerto Limon, around 150 to 350 meters (160 to 380 yards) from the ship towards the Vargas Park. Please walk from the ship through the crosswalk and souvenir tents until you see the public street after the exit gates. Your guide will be holding the logo RELAX DAY TOURS.

    Enjoy a brief city tour around Limon's town, where your guide will share some of the culture and history of this port. You will also visit a viewpoint, a great opportunity to take a panoramic picture of the town and the ship docks.

    Learn more about tropical plants and their fruits. See the actual plants and trees, and also have some samples of these delicious fruits at a rustic fruit stand before heading on to Cahuita National Park. If you feel like shopping, you can also visit the contiguous souvenir shop.

Great excursion

We had a fabulous time on this tour. Larry was a great guide, and Jorge drove us around (and spotted sloths and monkeys) safely. We really felt like we saw the authentic Costa Rica on this small group tour. I would recommend this over any ship sponsored excursion.

Amazing experience in Costa Rica!

This was an awesome excursion. Communication prior to the experience was prompt and clear. The activity exceeded my expectations! Our tour guide was Larry and our driver was Eric. Larry is so knowledgeable about the Port Limon area. I wasn't expecting this to be a "learning" experience in regard to history and culture of the area, so I was pleasantly surprised! We saw quite a bit of wildlife throughout the tour. Eric must have very good eyesight as he spotted several animals in the trees during the drive. Larry is one of, if not the best, tour guides I have ever had for a tour/excursion. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would!

Absolutely fantastic tour! Larry was an exceptional guide and Eric was a great driver. We had an awesome time learning about Costa Rica while also enjoying the local bananas, Coco loco drinks, beach, and boat ride. It was so cool to see the monkeys, sloths, lizards, birds, and crocodiles!
