This is a small group sightseeing tour created for Cruise Ship Passengers arriving in Timaru.
This sightseeing tour journeys from the sea to the foothills to the mighty turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo. You'll also access a private sheep farm offering views of Mt Cook & Lake Pukaki and the impressive snow capped mountain and glaciers of Mt Cook.
Enjoy in depth local commentary on the outstanding natural landscapes of The Mackenzie Country, history and the unique geological processes that make this part of the South Island so breathtaking.
Explore some of the finest scenery while exploring Lake Tekapo for 45mins at your leisure. Capture The Church of the Good Shepherd and grab lunch in town at your own expense. After lunch, you will be off on a backcountry road to explore some private viewpoints of Mt Cook & Lake Pukaki via a private sheep farm. The access we offer is totally exclusive and offers you the chance to view Mt Cook while being on a cruise ship!
Please take the Cruise Ship Shuttle service to the Timaru I site. Your small group tour bus will be located just across the street from the shuttle drop-off at the Timaru I Site.
Your Driver will have an identified shirt on and a sign to help you identify him.

Lake Tekapo
Experience some of New Zealand’s finest scenery of the legendary Mackenzie Country.
This sightseeing tour journeys from the sea to the foothills to the mighty glaciers and turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo. Enjoy in-depth local commentary on the outstanding natural landscapes of The Mackenzie Country, its history, and the unique geological processes that make this part of the South Island so incredible.
You’ll explore some of the finest scenery on this tour and have time to explore Lake Tekapo for 1.5 hours at your own leisure.
Just enough time to snap photos of the Church of the Good Shepherd, have a walk along the lake, and grab lunch in town at your own expense.
After lunch, you will be off on a backcountry road to explore some private viewpoints of Mt Cook & Lake Pukaki, before returning back to the Port of Timaru.

You will get breathtaking views of Mt Cook ( weather permitting) from our access to a stunning private Sheep Farm which offers some of the best views of Mt Cook, Mt Tasman and Lake Pukaki. We will not be driving into Mt Cook Village, as time demands are too short for Cruise Ship Port stops. This allows cruise ship passengers the chance to view Mt Cook by land within a small time frame.
