Norvegr - a documentary providing a brief, yet informative explanation of the history of the Vikings and their connection to today's popular culture.     At the world’s first digital Viking Museum, the Viking Age is resurrected with the help of VR technology, holograms, interactive screens and a 270-degree cinema. Here you can explore digital versions of the famed Gokstad and Oseberg ships as well as many other objects currently on loan from the Museum of the Viking Age. Learn about society, religion, folklore, and the most significant events of the Viking Age in our interactive exhibitions.

Family trip to Viking Planet.

If you like the vikings or would want to know more about them, then this museum with its interactive viking story is well worth the admission fee and between 1-2 hours of your time. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit Sunday 8th dec 2024. Staff are very nice welcoming. I spoke to man from Iceland with the Texas USA accent. He was cool. The gift shop has a good selection of viking type memorabilia if you want to treat yourself or the viking loved one in your family. Also this is a great drop off if dad doesn't want to do the Xmas market, drop him off here he'll love it. That way everyone gets to enjoy their Norwegian experience.

Modern VR experience of the Viking Age

We had a great time at this modern museum. Plenty of digital and visual experiences through the most modern technologies currently. Both VR stories being told on mobile seats, or playing a VR game, or holographic and surround sound movies / characters. Interactive things about personal stories of the Viking people or historical events of whole tribes.

Fantastic experience! Cinematic stories told so well - you really immerse yourself into the Viking times. Interactive, too notch, engaging and fun. My 9 year old loved the experience! Warmest recommendations to anyone visiting Oslo!
