Overview

The Ultimate Norwegian Skiing Experience is an unique experience where you as a beginner get to learn something truly Norwegian; cross skiing and enjoy the company of other travelers in a very down to earth, calm, safe and fun learning environment led by excellent instructors. We in TheNorExp deliver active experiences with a Norwegian touch. We connect people through fun activities! Join us for the fun, and get some new acquaintances while doing so! We also provide a traditional Norwegian and some hot beverage during the experience.

Meeting points

We meet at Skullerud metro station in front of the Kiosk Narvesen.

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Itinerary

We will have a lot of fun together as a group, learning basics for cross country skiing and exploring the nature and the winter. The experience is adapted for the beginners that have little or no skiing experience. The main goal is to have fun, be social and to learn something fun and Norwegian.

Beginner Skiing

Absolutely, thrilling experience I had learning the basic concepts of skiing and being able to apply them in real time. I will definitely be back for next winter

Awesome experience, especially if you want to get outdoors and see the Norwegian country side. Håvard is a very experienced ski instructor and was able to accommodate everyone in the group, as we were at different levels. Will highly recommend.!

Great introduction to langrenn / cross country skiing.

Having never skied before, my friend and I signed up for this 3 hr introduction from an advert on Facebook and were not sure what was going to happen; however, we were delighted by the whole experience. Håvard was an excellent teacher- he taught clearly, methodically, and patiently with a lovely kind manner. The ski arena in Skullerud was perfect for beginners (it has snow machines so there's always snow in the winter), all the ski equipment was provided (NB not clothes) and was of great quality. We had a lovely group of ten people from all around the world and it was a really fun atmosphere. I was surprised how quickly I took to it and my friend and I agreed that it was the highlight of our week/her visit. Hot choclate and snacks at the end were perfect. We were also super lucky with the sunny weather. The whole experience was great value for money. I'm planning on bringing some work colleagues back. Peter W. Feb 17th 2024

Skiing with Vikings

Håvard was fantastic. He is an excellent teacher for beginners and advanced. This was my first time skiing, and he took the time to explain everything step-by-step. Always smiling and willing to give you tips to improve. He brought us traditional snacks from Norway and hot cocoa. Special mention deserves his mom who came to help with the photographs. Such a sweet lady. The group started as four strangers, we ended up as friends :)
