Billy started his Island Jet Ski Tour in 1992. There are many imitators, but only one Original Island Jet Ski tour! Our guides are licensed and local, so they know the waters surrounding our island like their backyard - because it is! Our tour route changes dependant on the weather & waves of the day - we modify our tour to be comfortable and give you the longest Freeplay time possible, so you can drive it like you stole it!

We are at the end of Seminole Street & Alberta Street, straight through the black gates at the end of the road. Parking: The street that the hotel is on (Seminole Street) is pay to park. All the side streets in the area are free public parking.

Key West

Begin your tour on the pristine, uncrowded south end of Key West. Your expert guide provides safety instructions on your Yamaha personal watercraft (PWC), providing you with the confidence to get the most out of your guided tour. Billy only goes with the best which is why he rides on a Yamaha. Your new Yamaha PWC provides an unbelievably comfortable ride, even at 45 mph, while providing top-of-the-market handling and maneuverability. Get ready for the ride of your life as we set off for an exhilarating ride around the island. Your 26-mile guided tour completely circles the island of Key West, a task that’s impossible for most watercraft.
Southernmost Point

During your jet ski tour, you take in breathtaking views of Key West’s backcountry, see the famous Mallory Square from the water, and watch for marine life like sea turtles and dolphins frolicking in the Caribbean waters. Learn about the history of Key West during stops along the way, including the Southernmost Point, historic Key West Bight, and Sunset Key. Relax or play in the water while we stop at a deserted sandbar. Bring your waterproof camera for great photos!

This was so fun! Beautiful scenery! Great time with the tour part and loved to be able to ‘play’ for a while! I would highly recommend.

Barefoot is the way to go!

Being a nervous, first time on a jet ski, it was Awesome! I even rode separately so My husband could go as fast as he wanted on his own. Clayton our guide was so friendly, he stopped several times around the island to tell us facts about the island. My husband loved the “recess” to do test out the jet ski. I just floated on mine & watched. I would definitely recommend to anyone! I will use Barefoot Billy’s when I come back! Next time snorkeling!!

The best part of my Key West trip!

Had the absolute BEST time on this tour. I was a little wary, as I had never driven a jet ski before, but my guide, Tyler, was incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging, and by the end of the tour, I was effortlessly zipping around the ocean. Incredible views of the island, a generous amount of time out on the water, and an overall amazing experience provided by the staff made this the highlight of my Key West trip. I will absolutely be back next year!

Caution for the inexperienced trying ocean jet skis

We take full responsibility for our mistake, but I think ocean jetskiing requires some prior experience and skills. We are 77 and 75 with only lake experience some years ago on jet skis and we could not keep up and we were really rocked wildly in the waves. We had a patient guide who was so helpful and others in the tour were encouraging but we were rocked by the waves and were terrified when a sudden storm blew in making it really scary to navigate back to the resort. Our fault for thinking we could do it, but Barefoot Billie’s might want to put an age and experience limit on this tour like the outfits on Cabo do… makes us mad when we are deemed too old to do fun stuff… but we evidently needed someone’s disciplined strong arm to keep us away from this. If you are younger , experienced and you don’t have an arthritic right hand… this is a great value and a great experience in Key West. Wonderful guides… took care of us well… but we did not belong on this experience.

This trip is worth the time and money! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the island, and very helpful if you need it. Just don't forget sunscreen!
