Overview

All of our guides are basque foodies and want to show you why. They will take you around the city from bar to bar discovering the local food, pintxos, and some local drinks as well. You will get to know the history of Basque language and the Basque people, differences between Spain and Basque country and the past and present of Bilbao. We will adapt the route depending on whether you are more eager to walk and see places or if want to try more local foods. You will visit bars and restaurants off the beaten track, avoiding the tourists and experiencing the city like a true local. All allergies and dietary restrictions included, we will personalize the tour for your needs.

Authentic and very well planned food tour. Highly recommend, we learned a lot about the Basque country and foods. Very knowledgeable and passionate guide.

What a fun tour! Maria created an atmosphere in which my partner and I want to hangout with the other afterwards. In the handful of food tours I've been on, I've NEVER experiences that. Maria was also a wealth of knowledge; so happy to share and answer any questions that came up. We discovered a few favorites on this tour too...looking forward to trying to find some Txakoli in my local wine shop (fingers crossed!), and endlessly drinking kalimotxo.

A fabulous and foody intro to Bilbao

I booked this quite spontaneously on my first day in Bilbao solo and had such an amazing time. Maria was incredible, so warm and friendly and it was an absolute blast getting to try some of the best local food and drinks, find out more about basque culture and connect with some fellow travellers. It was such a wonderful shared experience that our group ended up keeping in touch and meeting up again during my trip. All credit to Maria as a guide in this wonderful experience. I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent experience getting to know authentic Bilbao and to sample some of its best pintxos and wine. Maria was so friendly and knowledgable and took us to some great bars. And we met some interesting, fun and like-minded people on the tour too. Thoroughly recommend.

James was an excellent guide. For those just beginning their Bilbao journey/Pintxos, do this first to get comfortable with the process. If you aren’t Spanish ordering/ eating this way is not usual so this will set on your the right path. Great way to meet other travellers and wonderful for those perhaps travelling alone. Delicious food and plenty of wine.
