Overview

First up, this is a mountain bike tour. We do not offer tours by e-bike. Be prepared to pedal! Enjoy a scenic cycle ride through Korcula’s beautiful countryside, visiting local producers & treating your taste buds to fantastic delights. Starting from Korčula Town, we head towards Lumbarda with our first stop just 15 minutes away. Here, you'll meet one of the region’s top honey and gin producers. Learn about the production and taste their tasty products. Back on your bike, we’ll take picturesque country trails, passing olive groves and vineyards, before arriving at family run Grk-producing winery. Sit back and savour several island-produced wines, paired with delicious regional snacks. Our final stop is a short pedal away at the home of our friend Ivan. You'll sample their award-winning jams, homemade liqueurs, wine, sweet treats, and olive oil. This taste extravaganza is topped off with crepe-style pancakes filled with jam. Afterward, you'll be transferred back to Korcula by van.

  • Important note about the cycling. Bikes are mountain bikes. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and experience of riding a bike. You will cycle around 10kms and this includes some road cycling, several hills and some off-road terrain. Keep in mind as well it gets very hot on Korcula, especially from late June until the end of August and you will be cycling in the sun. We would class the ride as moderate but the hills and heat can be more of a challenge for some people. Although the ride is leisurely, we just want to ensure you will be comfortable to complete the ride.

Croatia core memory made

Best bike tour I have ever taken. Beautiful countryside that was very informative. We were welcomed so warmly at our 3 stops and Rachael, our guide, treated us like friends vs customers. Top notch hospitality. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you, Rachael, for a magnificent Croatian memory.

The Best of Korcula

We loved our Taste of Korcula Bike Tour! My friend and I only had a weekend in Korcula and chose this tour as our first experience on the island. John was an entertaining and well-versed guide, sharing his love for this Croatian island with us as well as his and his wife’s desire to help other local businesses where we stopped along our route. We enjoyed everything about this 6km trek, from the beautiful landscape to the food (honey, figs, jams, and almonds) and drink (local spirits, Grk, and other wines). We highly recommend booking a tour with Korcula Explorer!

Lovely afternoon - pretty views, wonderful people and great treats

We had a wonderful afternoon with John biking around Korcula, trying all kinds of local treats. It was appreciated that he takes you to some of the smaller establishments where you get to spend time with the makers of all the wonderful products. The bikes were in good condition and the cycling wasn’t too strenuous. We definitely had a good time!

This was a great experience to ride through the countryside and explore different vineyards while enjoying the views. Great hosts with delicious wine and treats. Loved the stop at the place that makes honey and learned a lot throughout this tour. John was a great tour guide. Fun was had by all!! Highly recommend!!
