Overview

What about having dinner on an island and arriving there with your kayak? You wonder where to eat tonight, you would like something original but don’t really know where to go! Well, enrol in the adventure that will make you see Stockholm from the water and enjoy a nice barbecue. You will also have the chance to see Stockholm City Hall from your kayak. We will start from Stockholm Långholmen Island and paddle in the area for around 2 hours. We will then come back to the starting point and leave the kayaks where we took them. It'll then be time to take a short walk to the other side of the island and reach a beach where we'll enjoy a barbecue. *This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. **We're following closely the government regulations regarding the fire ban, we might have to opt for a cold lunch if fire bans are in place. We won't cancel your tour because of a fire ban!

Meeting points

Get off Hornstull tube station to the street. Have the mall on your back, take right. Walk under the bridge that passes the street. Continue 200m and take left in Högalidsgatan. Continue until Bergsundsgatan, take Långholmbron bridge. You'll see the kayak place.

    What about having a grilled dinner on an island and arriving there with your kayak, a 10-minute walk from the tube station Hornstull. We will start from Stockholm Långholmen Island and paddle for 2 hours before having a dinner break in a very nice place. Enjoy the sunset or have a swim in the water while your guide is grilling the sausages. We’ll then get back to paddling and make our way back to the starting point. On the way, you will see Stockholm and notice the special colours that the old buildings take when the sun is setting this very special Scandinavian light on them. The colours reflect also on the water and make the experience unique. You are in the city center but it feels like being in the countryside. Indeed Stockholm has the reputation of being a very green city and yes it is true. Trees all along the coast, migratory birds hanging around or even fishermen trying to catch big are all present all summer.

    We will visit iconic Stockholm City Hall from the water with our kayaks.

  • Hornstull & Langholmen

    After kayaking for 2 hours, we will come back to the starting point and leave the kayaks where we took them. It'll then be time to take a short walk to the other side of the island and reach a beach where we'll enjoy a barbecue. Enjoy the sunset or have a swim in the water while your guide is grilling the sausages. Your guide will stay with you for about 1 hour but you are very welcome to stay and enjoy the place as long as you want. **This experience’s duration is 3 hours (2 hours kayaking and 1 hour dinner) and please note that the start and the end times by month change! *We're following closely the government regulations regarding the fire ban, we might have to opt for a cold lunch if fire bans are in place. Nature goes first before fun! We won't cancel your tour because of a fire ban!

Evening kayak and barbecue - highly recommended

We had a fantastic evening kayaking around the Stockholm islands and then finishing off with a lovely meal on the shore of the lake. Our guide was incredibly friendly and supportive - we wouldn't have had the confidence to paddle as far without her! It was a great way to see bits of Stockholm we would otherwise have missed. Even our teenagers enjoyed it ;)

Oscar led a great tour

The kayaking was beautiful and easy. Oscar was our guide and he guided, but also gave us our space. Oscar pointed out several areas of interest and was very informative. Once the kayaking was over Oscar prepared an impressive meal with only a fold-out grill. Our entire group, 8 of us from Kentucky,USA, were glad to have met Oscar and have him as our guide. Oscar even took time to teach me a skill I hope I can master. The next day we received an email with several pictures that Oscar had taken along the way. It is this kind of “above and beyond” customer service that makes it easy for me to give a 5 star review to that company (and their guide).
