Overview

Old town, or “Gamla stan” as it is known locally, is by far the most mythical and legendary neighborhood in all of Stockholm. As the city’s historical center, this is where you find out about ancient events and hear fascinating stories and tales that would last for a lifetime! With this tour its like you step in to a time machine and are whisked back to the to middle ages where noblemen, princesses and dukes roamed the streets. Come find out about the Stockholm Blood Bath, the cannonball wedged in house façade and the legend of St George and the Dragon.

Maximize your time in Stockholm

Very nice tour. I was one of only four guests, which was lovely. Natia was lovely, and very knowledgable. This was a great way to really appreciate the Old Town, beyond just walking around by yourself. I got a good feel for the history, and saw a lot of interesting things I wouldn't have known to look for on my own.

We had a lovely tour, and it ended up being just the two of us! Our guide was SO knowledgeable, kind and willing to share so much about local history, culture and anything we asked.
