This full-day adventure tour along one of the most popular routes in Iceland takes you to the South Coast region. The landscapes here take various forms, from farmland to pristine glaciers and insane waterfalls, from impressive cliffs to black sand beaches on the Atlantic coast. Traveling along the South Coast, we explore some of the country's most scenic areas. You will be inspired by Iceland's harsh natural beauty and impressed by its ancient and beautiful history.

Itinerary

  • Seljalandsfoss

    Seljalandsfoss is a supremely graceful waterfall fed by the meltwater of the Eyjafjallajokull glacier. This impressive natural wonder falls about 63 meters (205 feet) into the quiet pool below, and there is a hidden trail behind the falls so that you can watch the waterfall from all directions.

  • Gljufrabui Waterfalls

    Glufrabui is an exquisite waterfall about 40 meters (130 feet) high, hidden in a gorge just 560 meters (1,850 feet) from the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Stopping at a large waterfall, we shall follow the path at the foot of the cliff straight to the gorge, where the Glufrabui is hidden.

  • Skogafoss

    Skogafoss, one of Iceland's largest and most elegant waterfalls, is 60 meters (195 feet) high and 25 meters (75 feet) wide. The waterfall generates a lot of spray, which on sunny days often creates a vibrant single or even double rainbow, adding to the charm of Skogafoss Falls. We will be able to walk to the foot of the waterfall and also walk the stairs to the observation deck to see the waterfall from above. After visiting the Skogafoss, we recommend stopping for lunch at the nearby Bistro Bar restaurant.

  • Dyrholaey

    Dyrholaey is an incredible rock formation and headland on the south coast of Iceland. At the top of the cliff, at an altitude of 120 meters (390 ft), is an old working lighthouse. From here, we enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, black sand beaches, and glaciers covering the Katla and Eyjafjallajokull volcanoes.

  • Reynisfjara Beach

    Reynisfjara is the most famous black sand beach on the south coast of Iceland. Its beautiful sand and pebbles, vertical basalt columns, powerful ocean waves, and the nearby Reynisdrangar rocks at the sea make Reinisfjara a truly unique place to visit.

  • Solheimajokull Glacier

    Solheimajokull glacier has many impressive ice formations, including crevasses, steep ridges, and dips. Solheimajokull is the glacial tongue of Myrdalsjokull, Iceland's fourth largest glacier, which covers the mighty and impressive Katla volcano. We can walk the trail from the parking lot to the glacier, feel its coldness, and even touch the thousand-year-old ice. The glacier hike is not included in the tour program and can be organized additionally at your request.

This tour was fantastic in every way. Sergei is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He explained everything that we were seeing both before and during visits to many beautiful natural wonders. He gave us both in-depth background and detailed answers to our questions. The day was scheduled in a way that allowed us to see a lot but not feel rushed. We would recommend him to everyone who is looking for a high quality guide and tour.

A Day to Never Forget

Sergei Shramko is the name to ask for! He provided us with a day we will not forget. From the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the hidden waterfall, the Skogafoss waterfall, the Reynisfjata black sand beach, the Solheimajokull Glacier, and the local knowledge and stories shared made this trip worth the price. However, Sergei’s experience with taking incredible pictures at the best locations will make this the day we will never forget. A big thank you to Sergei!

It was important for me to have my granddaughters understand the history of Iceland, as well as taking in the incredible scenery of your country. You did so in a way that kept everyone entertained. I also thank you for being so careful to make sure I safely navigated my way around waterfalls. As many have said, you have a great eye for photography. Between you and my daughter we have some truly professional pictures to remember how exciting it was actually be in places we had only imagined.
