Guided snowshoe Walking in beautiful nature: Join Norway Mountain Guides on a snowshoeing trip in beautiful terrain. It might not be snow in Bergen, but our professional guide will bring you to winter wonder land. Take your family or friends on a snowshoe excursion. We don´t have to go far to find complete silence and wilderness through “unspoilt” scenery. Our trips are normally about 2-3 hours walk, but you can book longer or shorter trips as you prefer. Depending on snow and weather conditions this guided hike will take you into our local mountains. Feel the wilderness that Norway can offer. We will take a break during the activity to enjoy a hot drink and a Norwegian snack. Play around in the snow and have fun. Snowshoes require no experience, neither skiing or training. The transport will be between 10 min and 1 hour from Bergen city.

We meet at the entrance of Bergen tourist information. ( Next to the fish marked ) Strandkaien 3 - Tourist office-We have no office at this adress, this is the adress for attendance to already booked hikes. No pick-up service for public hikes, only pick-up services for private hikes.

Itinerary

A true Norwegian winter experience on snowshoes. Total duration 5 hours of which 2,5 -3 hours hiking. About: It might not be snow in the town of Bergen, but our professional guide will bring you to winter wonder land. Join us for winter exploring and great fun. Together in a small group we will take you away from the crowds and go off the “beaten track” to see magical winter scenery. Our goal are to let you have a good time with new friends, see great views, feel the remote area and make it a day you wont forget . Transfer to/from the hiking area included. We'll take it slow and enjoy the natural surroundings on the way to the summit. At the top we are rewarded with a good view of a local fjord arm. The guide will learn you more about cultural and historical of Norway and Bergen. Key facts: Season mid Dec to mid- April, depending on the snow conditions. Professional guide with all safety equipment Start time: 09:30 at VisitBergen. 40 -50 min drive one way. 2,5 -3 hours hike. Summit with view to the fjord. Small groups. Normally 3-5 persons, max 8. Amazing Hike and Exceptional Guides

This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The tour guides were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and very informative of the tour we would be taking. The hike itself was really fun and the views were breathtaking at the top of the hill. On the way down we stopped in a cabin in which the guides provided us with traditional Norwegian snacks and stories of the local areas which was really engaging and a very enjoyable experience. To top it all off, Tor, our guide went above and beyond to aid my partner and I get to the airport under a tight time constraint to catch our flight. It really summed up an amazing day with the best guides in Norway!

It was my first time snowshoeing and it was amazing! The tour guide we got are super interesting people, and though I lost my phone during one of the jumps, they were able to find it for me! We had a lot of fun!

We absolutely loved every second of our winter mountain snowshoe hike adventure. Our guide Ole was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, very patient and a lot of fun. He insured that we were comfortable the entire time and also allowed us a lot of freedom on the hike. He was also very interesting and great to talk to. The experience run smoothly from starts finish – from pick up in Bergen city centre to collection of the gear to the hike itself. We were very lucky with the weather – it was a lovely day with blue skies, and the hike was extremely picturesque. However, I think we would have enjoyed the experience regardless because of our amazing guide. All in all, it was a perfect hike with great weather and a new friend in Ole. The hike was approximately 10 km round-trip with some significant elevation – however, I have full confidence that the guide would have tailored this to our fitness levels. I will not only be recommending this experience to my friends – but I will be returning myself for more in the future.

This was an amzing snowshoe trip. Although in Bergen there was no snow the two guides drove us up the mountain and we spend a good couple of hours there snowshoeing! Two guides on a small group (6-7). Looking after us very well regarding safety and to fully enjoy our trip! Well done Norway Mountain Guides!
