Overview

See Florida’s famous flamingos as well an abundance of other native animals and plants when you visit Flamingo Gardens in Ft Lauderdale. Observe animals such as alligators, panthers and peacocks, and stroll through lush gardens filled with butterflies and hummingbirds, ancient oak trees, orchids and bromeliads, and more. Walk into the large open aviary where birds fly free and check out the Wray Museum, which shows a typical South Florida home from the 1930s.

Wonderful, unique FL experience

This was a wonderful native Florida animal exhibit, beautiful trees/plants, butterfly garden, and history lesson. I highly recommend. It is easy to get to, easy to walk around/navigate. We went straight to the airport after our visit,which was a great activity while we "killed" time.

Great visit, site was clean and beautiful. I loved that the tram takes you through the farther side of the park and even stops so you can see the butterfly conservatory. Animals looked really happy, especially the otters.
