  • Sawgrass Recreation Park

    Skim across the grassy water at speeds up to 40 miles per hour while looking for wildlife like alligators, fish, turtles, and wading birds. This general admission ticket includes entrance to Sawgrass Recreation Park, a 30-40 minute guided airboat tour and an admission to our Alligator & Reptile Exhibit. Just 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, the safest and most entertaining and educational way to experience the Everglades’ unique subtropical ecosystem is at Sawgrass Recreation Park.

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Reservation date and time required. Tours leave every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 3:30pm
  • Any age child can enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under are free. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket for ages 3 years and under.
  • Tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour due to inclement weather
  • If you have selected the 4 p.m. time please note that it is a check in time only and that your airboat adventure will be leaving the dock at 5 p.m. so that you have ample time to explore the exhibit areas before they close at 5 p.m.

1st time airboat tour. AWESOME

Excellent time with Justin on our 40 min. Airboat tour. He was very informative. Saw a few gators and some interesting wildlife. Would definitely do this again and would highly recommend. The cost was very affordable.

Captain Justin was great we seen a lot of gators. We seen an iguana and beautiful birds. We really enjoyed the exhibit afterwards too. We got to hold a gator.

The 8:30 was less busy than the 1:00. It was a great experience but we did t really catch anything. My son went back out for the 1:00. The crew was great and helpful.

Entertaining and Educational for the Family

This was a really fun and educational experience for the family. The boat ride was exciting, and the guide shared interesting info about the Everglades on the trip; he was also funny, so the trip felt entertaining as well. My little one and teenager both enjoyed it!

It was cold so we didn’t see any gators. The captain did try to find and point out as much as he could though. It would have been great on a better day.
