We had the absolute pleasure of taking a walking tour of the Medieval Mile in Kilkenny with Shenanigans Walks, led by the incredible Nevin. From the moment we met him, Nevin was witty, warm, and engaging. His blend of history, humor, and sleight-of-hand magic made the tour unforgettable — seriously, he’s the real deal. Nevin took the time to learn everyone’s name and made sure the whole group felt included, which added such a personal touch. He spoke quickly (you’ll want your best listening ears on!), but every word was packed with fun facts and clever commentary that brought Kilkenny’s history to life. We’ve already referred friends back in the States, and they booked the tour within days — that’s how strongly we recommend it. If you’re in Kilkenny and want an experience that’s equal parts educational and entertaining, don’t miss this tour!

Nevin was a wealth of knowledge as a proud Killkennian! I especially enjoyed all of the information he shared about the origination of words and phrases like "nosegay," "turnpike," and "saved by the bell." This was a nice, easy tour around Killkenny that included the Black Abbey.
