Overview

There are legends, history and mystery around every corner in Seville and its Santa Cruz Jewish quarter. This tour will take you at dusk through the historic neighborhoods of El Centro and Santa Cruz. Witness the magnificent sunset that will leave the sky a kaleidoscope of color. As well as, being transported to another time through stories of peculiar events that shook the inhabitants of this city.     Once you meet your guide at a meeting point, you can get ready for stories dating back to the times of Romans, Arabs, Jews and Christians. Your local provider will tell you tragedies and anecdotes from all different corners of the city and events that occurred in the lives of generations of Sevillians. You will focus mostly on the Santa Cruz area. You will also hear lots of different ghost stories all throughout the tour, as well as learn about history of places you will be walking through.

We had the best time last night with Emilio. His conviviality made the group of strangers into a group of friends. His knowledge of the subjects was shared in an easy manner. His mastery of English allowed us all to understand the interesting stories he told us. We are so glad that we chose this tour. It was a delightful evening.

Legends and Myths of Sevilla

Emilio did an excellent job blending his knowledge of Spanish history with the myths and legends of Sevilla including Don Juan and others. As we walked the streets of the Barrio Santa Cruz neighborhood, he took factual accounts from history and weaved them into the Sevilla mythology. Whether fact or not, Emilio let us be the judge. Regardless, we were thoroughly entertained for 2+ hours and our understanding of Sevilla history and lore is much improved thanks to Emilio.

Last two weeks we enjoyed a wonderful tour (in English) of Seville with Giovanna and Nieves. The stories they told us were fascinating and our Swiss, German and Austrian companions were amazed by the history of Seville and the legends that surround it.

Great walk and history lesson about the Jewish quarters in Seville
