Great tour!

Published on Nov, 2024

My family came to visit and I wanted to do something different around Old Town so we tried this tour. This was so interesting and the stops were so great! If you want a nice walk around Old Town to see some nice history on a good day, this is the tour to try.

A great self paced tour

Published on Sep, 2024

I really enjoyed being able to take this at my own pace and hit the highlights. It allowed me to take some time at places or know that I would return another day for a longer time. In my case, this meant my one-and—half tour actually took me four hours, as I stopped for lunch or peeked in a museum (even seeking help charging my phone). I even saw George Washington as he pointed out where he sat in his church. It was easy to follow and I felt it gave me a wonderful first introduction to the old town of Alexandria. As Alexandria now has a community remembrance project, I can imagine this tour having some additional updates, as well as a separate tour highlighting the broader history of other peoples in this vibrant community.
