    Grant Avenue is one of the oldest streets in San Francisco. In addition, it's also the main street in Chinatown where one will find the biggest bazaars, tea shops and specialty stores. The famous Fortune Cookie factory is on Ross Alley a half block from Grant Street. Portsmouth Square was the original city center which expanded and was relocated to Union Square. There is a memorial dedicated to Louis Stevenson, the author and Hallide, the cable car inventor. The Goddess of light statue commemorating the 4/15/ 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre Goddess of light is also located on the historical park. Visitors who want to learn and explore Chinatown can end tours here if they wish.

  • Ferry Building Marketplace

    The Ferry Building is the city's culinary epic center with a selection of restaurants and eateries including El Porteno empenadas, Blue Bottle Coffee, Miette, Acme bakery, Dandelion chocolate, to name a few. It's a great place to end the tour for foodies.

    One of the reasons tourists visit the Filbert Street steps is because of the breathtaking views, old charming cottages tucked up on impossible steep streets, with lush greenery year round. In the 1850s, longshoremen lived here. They would look out for ships coming into the bay and run down the hill to unload them. Grace Marchant planted the gardens in 1949 and are maintained by the neighbors in her memory.

Pier 39 is a collection of shops, restaurants, eateries, and street entertainment. It's also family friendly. Hyde Street Pier features historical ships including the Balaclutha, (c1896), and the Hercules. This is a great place to end tours for families with diverse interests as there is something for everyone.

    The Palace of Fine Arts was built in 1915 for the Panama Pacific Exposition. This was a retake to the canal 1914 opening. The architect was Bernard Maybeck, one of the world renowned architects in his time.

    The iconic Golden Gate Bridge was built in 1937 and is 1.7 miles long and connects San Francisco to Marin. Joseph Strauss was the chief engineer of the bridge. The bridge took 4 years to build since it's on the wind path and fog path. Dense fog limits visibility. The international orange color of the bridge blends in with the underlying Franciscan complex rock formation. The GGB is the most photographed structure in the world for a reason. The best views are in the afternoon from Marin Headlands. One can walk or bike on the bridge.
