Overview

I have been living aboard full time for the past 12 years, sailing the Vancouver waterways for over 45 years. I have raced competitively for 20 of those, have extensive sailing and local knowledge, 12 years experience volunteering as a Coxswain with the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, have my Marine Advance First Aid Certificate and 4 other transport Canada certifications. I have a passion for being on the water and love to share the experience with travelers from around the world.

Itinerary

  • English Bay (Pass By)

    The Wandering Eye is a beautiful 44 foot Beneteau Sailboat, well equipped for a day on the water. We depart Mosquito Creek at 11:00 am and motor out of Vancouver Harbour into Burrard Inlet. You will see Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and unique views of downtown from the water. Once we pass under the Lions Gate Bridge we'll set sail and enjoy stunning views of the Vancouver area, Passage and Bowen Islands, Point Atkinson, West Vancouver, Howe Sound and even Georgia Straight. Sit back and relax while we serve up a light snack and a selection of Beers, Ciders and assortment of alcoholic beverages as you enjoy the views of English Bay. We have water and pop available for the minors as well. If you're the more adventurous type, we can put you to work and teach you the basics of how to sail, trim the sails and even take the helm. At 2:00pm we'll pack up the sails and motor back to Mosquito Creek and the picturesque views of Coal Harbour. We offer all kinds of other experiences if your looking for something overnight, something more private or don't see a date that works for your group. Please reach out and well do our best to create a unique and once in a lifetime experience!

Worth every penny, such an amazing day on the water. Chris and Michelle are professionals, they know what they are doing. Plus Fredrick the cat! A must do in Vancouver, a great way to spend a few hours and see Vancouver from the water. Easy meetup location from downtown Vancouver. If we ever come back to Vancouver, we’d do this again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful sailing afternoon with Plan B

Great trip with Chris, Michal, and of course Frederick. The views were fabulous, and sailing off Vancouver was an unforgettable experience. We felt very welcomed, and enjoyed the snacks (ketchup chips and local beer in particular). Good communication - easy to get to and very accurately described. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

Great Sail experience in Vancouver

What an amazing time with Capts Chris and Michelle and Plan B Sailing. We were met at the marina gate and walked to the boat by Capt Chris. He was very friendly and engaging with everybody. Once onboard we had a safety talk and then departed for a lovely sail. During the trip we were offered complimentary hot drinks, soda, beers and snacks. Chris and Michele were very friendly and full of information. They made everyone feel welcome and made us all feel like we were old friends meeting up. It's easy to see that these guys love their job and Vancouver. They gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. We will be sailing with them again next time we are in Vancouver!

A relaxing time out on the water!!

I had such a great, relaxing time on the Plan B!! Chris and Michelle were great, told us stories about life on a sailboat with a cat named Freddy!! Everyone had an amazing time and the views of Vancouver were just beautiful!! Even saw a few seals along the way!! Chris was very knowledgeable and I definitely recommend this tour if you want to kick back, relax and go with the flow!! ❤️
