Overview

Sailing is a life changing experience! In four hours, you will help sail a large sailing yacht into the sunny waters of Okanagan Lake. We provide hands on instruction and lots of opportunities to learn or just relax. And it is is unbelievably beautiful! The scenery is spectacular, from the many developed wineries on The Naramata Bench to the wild natural areas and park. Photographers will love it! The lake is warm and clean. As part of our day, we often anchor up to go for a swim or for a paddleboard. It is the perfect experience to spend a day in the outdoors to create family memories or incredible encounters with friends. We offer more than sailing. We love people! Explore how to better navigate your life. Learn how to better respond to winds of change. We bring together the skills of sailing and life wisdom: ‘sailing with heart’. It is a mix of sunshine, laughter, friendship and also a meaningful encounter.

Meeting points

Meet us at the wharf for the Naramata Marina. It is located just west of Manitou Park in the village of Naramata BC (a beautiful short drive from Penticton, BC). You can park in Manitou Park or on one of the streets nearby. We will pick you up via tender to Anam Cara.

Itinerary

Enjoy a four hour sailing adventure on our 46' sailing yacht 'Anam Cara' on sunny Okanagan Lake. The afternoon sun warms your skin, as it filters across the deck. The boat gently turns with your subtle touch at the wheel. Her sails fill as you respond to the gathering winds. You feel fully alive in the dancing diamond field of light and waves. Join us to create a magical memory with your loved ones and friends! You can participate in the art of sailing as much as desired. You will love the responsiveness of this well designed sailing vessel! We sail on a 46' long Hunter 460 'Anam Cara'. You don't have to have any experience in sailing! You can also enjoy a dive off the boat, a swim or a paddleboard! Maybe you just want to lay back, enjoy a cold beer or wine, and cherish a rewarding day on the water with good people. You are free to choose! Please bring what you like to drink or eat (beer or wine is fine), sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, rain jacket or windbreaker, layers for warmth on cooler days, running/tennis/water shoes (no sandals please!), swimwear and towel. We provide lots of cold sparkling water, PFD and paddleboards.

The best way to spend time ON the Okanagan Lake.

The best way to spend time on the Okanagan lake. Lake views are always great but being on the water is the best! Dan and Robin were amazing hosts and a great source of knowledge of the lake and towns/vineyards surrounding the lake. We got picked up in Penticton so it was also nice to spend time in the city at the south end following the sail. It really was a perfect day!!!

Couldn’t ask for a better hosts to show us around the beautiful lake!

We had an amazing afternoon With Dan and Robyn sailing on Okanagan Lake to celebrate my husbands big birthday ! It was an amazing experience. Dan and Robyn are so knowledgable about every aspect of sailing . My son and brother-in-law had a wonderful opportunity to help sail the boat and they thoroughly enjoyed that experience. If you ever need a deckhand, please let our Daniel know. He said he enjoyed what you taught him yesterday so much. The day was perfect weather-wise and company wise, and we would certainly use them again to treat our guests to a wonderful Okanagan experience.

Dan and Robyn are excellent hosts. This was an amazing experience on a beautiful sailboat. The setting is perfect and so are the memories. Sailing, swimming, paddle boarding, and beach time. Not to mention fascinating conversation and interactions with the hosts. This is something you need to put on your bucket list to appreciate the beauty of the Okanagan.
