Overview

Historical Railway with tresttles and tunnels build between 1912 and 1924. Amazing views of the Okanagan Lake, surounded by all kinds of wild life and flowers, riding through the canyon including crossing over different creeks. Experience the history reading the interpretive signs and seeing the rock oven remains. Finish your ride with a few and a taste of naramata's vineyards. A minimum group size of 4 people is required for this booking.

Itinerary

This 74 Kilometer tour starts at Myra station where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Okanagan, learn about the history of the KVR through the interactive trail and ride over 19 trestles and through 3 tunnels! The tour will continue to Chute Lake where there is a restaurant for a rest or lunch. Beyond Chute Lake you will learn about the many rock ovens that were used to cook for the workers and encounter the 489 Meter Adria tunnel. The KVR then flows through the Naramata bench where there will be another opportunity for mesmerizing views of the wineries and the Okanagan Lake. We will finish the tour at Hillside Winery in Penticton where we thank you with a complimentary wine tasting. The trail has a slight decline throughout the entire 74 Kilometers, making it a great event for a wide range of people. A minimum group size of 4 people is required for this booking.

Nice ride through a beautiful landscape!

Rented 2 bikes and a trailer for a tour through over the former railway. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The guy who helped us spoke Dutch, one of the many Dutch people we met in the Kelowna area! Bikes and trailer were a little outdated, but worked perfectly, so not a big deal. Very nice experience overall, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and unique tour. Our kids enjoyed it as well and the oldest one got a nice shirt when we returned! Thanks again!

The vieuw was amazing . We took a lot of foto’s. Our tour guide was very friendly and he knew a lot of the history of the railway , environment and the fires. He could answer all our questions and was very helpful in finding the right bike for me. A great experience!

Didn't book but being early in the season they were fairly quiet so could accommodate "walk-ins". Flat trails and maintained bikes allow you some fantastic vistas and easy riding. Absolutely recommend it.

Rail trail worth travelling

Highly recommend, easy trail, great bikes and service. Four hours was plenty of time, allowing for stops and breathtaking views and pictures. So glad we did this.
