Overview

They say it is a 3000 year old city. First the Histri, then the Romans, the Venitians, the Austrians… I grew up in Pula and came back after finishing college because I simply love the wonderful life in the region of Istria. What better way to get to know a town than a relaxed chat with a local? :) During your tour of Pula, I will share with you interesting stories from our towns rich history, some tips and trick for getting around and relevant information about best museums or restaurants to visit. Come with me to discover the prettiest places in my town, taking a walk to see all the unmissable spots and the best photo-op moments.

Itinerary

Amphitheatre de Pula

Through the story, we will go back to the Roman Ages and take a stroll through the long, rich and dramatic history of our most recognizable landmark. The story of our Arena can be told either from the outside or the inside, depending on the quests preference. (admission fee not included).

Tito's Park

In front of the park dedicated to fighters againt fascism during WWII stands a small model of Pula town center - perfect for explaining the city layout and the rest of our walking tour.

Gate of Hercules

.The Gates of Hercules are the oldest town gates of Pula.

Arco dei Sergi

The triumphal arc of the renowned Sergi family still stands proud on one end of the most famous streets in Pula.

Floor mosaic The Punishment of Dirce

One of the "hidden gems" of Pula, a lovely mosaic was found during WWII and shows us the location of a once rich roman palace.

Tempio Di Augusto

Temple dedicated to goddess Roma and Emperor Augustus stands right next to the medieval Venetian City Hall on Forum, where our tour ends.

The Twin Gates of Pula

The first and the youngest of the three Roman town gates still standing today.

Kastel

The walk up to Kaštel is optional, it's a bit of a climb up to the medieval fortress that today holds the Historic and Maritime museum and offers a nice view on the Amphitheatre as well as the shipyard side of town.

Badass people - awesome tour

Badass people in Pula tour is awesome! I am absolutely amazed! Even though history is not my favorite thing, this tour is created to make history interesting and tell stories about some cool people. Saša is a great tourist guide and have so much positive energy! Great time, joy, laugh and great company are guaranteed! Creating this tour must've taken a lot of time and dedication, but she makes it look so effortlessly! I would recommend Badass people in Pula tour to everyone!
