The earliest record of a permanent settlement in Pula dates back to the 10th century BC. Founded by the Histri, an ancient Istrian Illyrian tribe, Pula came under Roman control in 177 BC. In this tour you will experience ancient Roman Pula and see its beautiful monuments.

Learning and seeing Roman history with amphitheater and exhibits below ground. Also Learned about the Roman gates and temples.

We went for my younger teen brother's birthday as he is massively into Roman history. Our tour guide, Mauro, was fantastic. He took us round the Pula Arena, offering to take pictures of us as a family. We had plenty of time to take pictures ourselves also. We were told many facts and information throughout the tour. I felt it was really personalised as our tour guide took us to Aura where we tasted some of the goods, Mauro pointing out which ones we would all like! He also was conscious about our dinner reservations and ensured everything was timely but sufficient. Each sight was told with interesting facts and quick jokes we all enjoyed. Worth every minute.
