Overview

You will not end this tour hungry. Learn to order like a regular and choose a salsa wisely and to your taste. Tour through the charming "Romantic Zone" where we will savor at least seven diverse and delectable tacos or other Mexican food dishes from various favored local stands and restaurants. Our mission is not only to indulge in the finest tacos but also to provide you with invaluable knowledge on what constitutes a great taco, amazing salsa, and how to order like a regular at any taco stand or restaurant. Finish the tour with the most fresh and tasty authentic Mexican Churros. Tour also includes a bonus Tequila Tasting Experience where you will be introduced to Mezcal, Tequila, and Raicilla. You will have the opportunity to taste all three as well as 4 expressions of Tequila and several different flavored dessert Tequilas (chocolate, marzipan, nut etc) Also included a Mexican Opal Experience where you will learn the fascinating connection between Tequila and Opals.

Itinerary

  • Plaza Lazaro Cardenas

    Learn of the cultural importance of the name sake of this park as well as the history and stories behind all the Azulejos (ceramic tiles) covering most of the park surfaces.

  • Malecon Boardwalk (Pass By)

    Guide will give you a brief introduction of the Malecon and it's history. The highlights will be discussed as well as tips to explore it effectively.

  • Playa de los Muertos (Pass By)

    Considered the most popular beach in Puerto Vallarta, The guide will explain it's history, and some popular beach clubs and sports activities such a parasailing banana boat.

  • Iglesia De La Santa Cruz (Pass By)

    Enjoy a tasting near by the traditional neighborhood Church at a taco stand or a sweet treat. Tour will end here within a stones throw.

  • Puerto Vallarta

    We will stop at at least three Mexican family owned eateries for tastings and at least four Mexican family owned Taco stands to eat tradition Mexican street food including Tacos. At each stop the guide will give a quick, colorful, and informative lecture on a different area of Mexican cuisine and culture. Our stops have been meticulously researched, tested and chosen to reflect the best of Mexican food and culture. No one leaves our tour hungry. Also the guide will inform the tour every time a restroom is available and how long till the next opportunity.

    Stop in at a local Tequila shop for a story on the history and cultural relevance of Tequila in Mexico. Learn what it takes to be called Tequila. If of age (18) may taste several types of tequilas or even related beverages.

We were the only two people in the group so we had a very personalized experience. Alejandro was a very personable guide and he knew his way around the neighborhood very well and was so friendly.

Well where do we start, so many tacos! Alejandro was amazing. So knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept us safe and comfortable! We were so full, tacos, tequila, soup, and to end the night delicious churros! So so full, it was awesome!!!

Jimmy & Ever were amazing guides besides the delicious street tacos, churros. They kept us safe & answered all our questions patiently. They even accompanied us to the grocery store & waited for us until our Uber ride arrived. Also, it was only the 4 of us in this tour but they did not cancel. It made our food tour more personal.
