Overview

This Private Full Island Tour is an ideal opportunity to visit the best of Rhodes island in one day! On this trip we suggest you to visit: Lindos and/or Rhodes town & Old town depending on which side of the island you are staying, and main attractions on the way: Seven Springs, Tsambika Beach, Butterfly Valley or Filerimos. Since it is a private tour, we can make changes for the program and departure time. We can go up to the mountains and visit Embona, Siana villages and Monolithos or Kritinia. If you wish to do so, please contact us after the booking.

This is a private tour, combined as a minibus tour and a walking tour. When booking, please choose a preferable vehicle for you. The price is calculated by vehicle, not by person. Transfer from your hotel and back is included in the price. After booking, please contact us with your hotel's ... name, and we will come to pick you up from there. Itinerary

Filerimos Cross

We will start with Filerimos, which in addition to the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea, is an important archaeological site. Here once stood the Acropolis of the Ancient Ialyssos with an important temple dedicated to Athena Polias. The hill took its name from a monk who came from Jerusalem in the 13th century bringing with him an icon of the Blessed Virgin painted by the Apostle Luke. Grab some bread from your breakfast table, the peacocks who live there will be happy to get some treat in exchange for the photos.

Valley of the Butterflies

Butterfly Valley not to be missed as well. Every year, at the end of the wet season (late May), thousands of butterflies attracted by the scent of the oriental sweet-gum trees cover the entire landscape. It's a very unique experience and you should definitely try to see it. We will make stop at one part of the valley where you don't need to pay admission fee. If you later decide to go deeper in the valley, you will need to pay admission fee.

Seven Springs – a small secret paradise, with lots of pine trees and amazing flow of crystal water, surrounded by greenery that reveals the greatness of nature. This stunning place has seven sparkling springs and a few rivers, which flows whole year and never dry even in the very hot summer season. All of them form a lake, which was built by the Italians primarily in order to provide the nearby village Kolympia with fresh water. This is THE PLACE to cool down even in the highest heat of the summer, and to enjoy a refreshing, magical scenery.

Lindos

Next on our program - stunningly beautiful village of Lindos! We will make a stop to admire beautiful panorama of Lindos, so you could take as much photos as you like. This view of Lindos village with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. And once in Lindos, you will have around 1 hour free time to explore the ancient Acropolis of Lindos, stroll through the maze of winding alleyways, or relax on the three golden beaches Lindos has to offer.

Old Town of Rhodes

Last but not least - Rhodes Medieval Town / Rhodes Old City - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its medieval buildings, imposing churches and traditional tavernas. You will have around 1 hour free time to take a leisurely walk admiring the main highlights of the Old City: Jewish Quarter, Ippokratous Square, famous Street of the Knights, Grand Master Palace, Archeological Museum and Fortifications of the Palace.

Highlight of our holiday

We were a little bit unsure of what to expect when we booked the tour but it turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Booking online was simple and we had quick communication to confirm the details. Our guide was Vitalie and he quickly put us at ease as he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was happy to adjust the itinerary to our preferences and added on things that he realised we would appreciate seeing. We had an amazing day with Vitalie and got to see all the sights we wanted to in one day. Of course you probably need at least one day to properly explore Rhodes Old Town and Lindos but this tour helped us get a good flavour of the culture and history of Rhodes. The cost of the tour is such good value, especially when we compared it to the tours that our holiday provider was trying to sell us. If you are considering booking this tour, just do it! A massive thank you to Vitalie and Half Price Tours for making our holiday so memorable.

Great taster of what Rhodes has to offer

We booked the private tour, not exactly sure what to expect. It was fantastic though. Our driver was chatty and fun, the car was clean and comfortable and the views as we drove around were spectacular! We were given time in each place we stopped to explore, whether it was the old town, butterfly valley or the tunnel at seven springs, it gave us a real sense of the place. We returned to our hotel at the end of the day tired but very happy.... and planning our next trip to Rhodes! There's so much to see, you definitely can't do it all in one tour, however this trip whets your appetite for more of Rhodes delicious treats. We can't wait to come back.

West coast road trip

Our driver Vitali was fabulous. We choose to go out to ancient Kamiros, Kitrinia castle and end with a late lunch and wine tasting in Emponas. It was our favorite day in Rhodes.
