We had an excellent guide that provided us with an in-depth understanding of the events surrounding the origin of what we today know as the 'Olympic Games.'
It's hard to imagine anyone knowing and being able to share the vast amount of information he had on 'recall.' The added stories and anecdotes kept things interesting while in the open areas as well as in the museum.
This was our second time visiting the site and we weren't especially looking forward to it as the first time, it was rather boring. This time it was really worth the tour and parent company was very easy to work with in scheduling the tour.
The first part of the tour was to the archeological site itself, followed by the museum, and then to a business that produces all manner of olive oils and all kinds of other things - foods as well as souvenirs. Sometimes going to a business after the tour seems a little out of place, but this one was worth it and all in the group we were working with, thoroughly enjoyed spending time there.
