Overview

We will start the experience by visiting two of the most popular tourist attractions in the country: the world-famous Panama Canal and the Casco Viejo(Colonial City). Our first or last stop could be the Miraflores visitor center(depending on the transit schedule of the ships), where we will see the Canal in full action and watch up close vessels passing through the locks. We will also enjoy a 3D movie at the IMAX Theater. After that, we'll travel along Balboa Avenue, taking in the sights of modern Panama City, also known as the "Manhattan of Central America," until we reach our final destination, the Colonial Casco Viejo. In Casco Viejo, we'll take a walking tour, visit all its plazas and colonial buildings, and end our experience with a stunning view of the Panama City skyline from the Amador Causeway.

    Come and enjoy this engineering wonder that changed the whole maritime industry forever, brought to this world by the United States and Panama in our Miraflores visitor center where you can see the Panama canal in full action.

    From the visitor center to Casco Viejo, we will be enjoying the sightseeing in modern Panama city

  • Plaza Mayor

    This is gonna be our meeting point, right in the center of the Casco Viejo.

  • Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitan)

    We will be entering to the most important cathedral in the whole country and you will be delighted with its beauty and history.

  • Plaza de Francia

    Here in this Plaza we are gonna see the Ministry of culture ( former court of Justice), The french Embassy, The obelisk in honor to the French effort and the Dungeons

  • Paseo de Las Bovedas

    We will have the opportunity to witness why Panama is called the Manhattan of Central America having a stunning view of the skyline, from there also we will see the eye-catching and colorful museum of biodiversity and Las America's Bridge Welcome the ships transiting the Panama canal.

  • Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador)

    Enjoy one of Panama City’s most fun-filled green spaces. The rock extracted when the Panama Canal was built between 1904 and 1914 was used to create the causeway. The road extends 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) out into the Pacific Ocean, linking the mainland with the islands of Naos, Perico, and Flamenco. and from there take a beautiful picture of the Panama skyline

An Amazing Experience

It was an amazing and informative day spent with Julio doing the walking tour and the Panama Canal. Julio was on time, pleasant, informative and accommodating. He conducted the tour in both Spanish and English. I highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Panama City and the Canal.

Excellent tour with loads of information on the locks and canal - the cinema experience was really good Tour of Casco Viejo was also excellent- even though it was a National Independence Day which meant the traffic was gridlocked!

Such a unique experience, to see the working canal and its full power. A visit here and a city tour with Aura (who is an amazing guide) were so much fun! Definitely recommend it!
