By far our most popular private hiking tour, this hike and sightseeing tour offers guests varying views of the Canyon, from the inside out. This tour is for guests who want to enjoy an excellent tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but also spend some time below the Rim. Enjoy a great tour with a knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic guide who loves what they do. We provide door-to-door service from your stay place with everything you need to have a great time. Grab your camera and leave the lunch, snacks, beverages, hiking equipment, and driving to us! We pick up in the following towns: Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon. Lunch will be ordered after booking. Gluten and/or dairy free available upon request.

Itinerary

  • Yavapai Point

    We start the day with a viewpoint where your guide will give a hiking orientation.

    30 minutes

  • South Kaibab Trail

    The hiking portion of this tour will traverse 3/4 of a mile down the South Kaibab to Ooh Aah Point and then go back up the same way you came. Weather and crowd permitting you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the viewpoint. This delicious lunch is made by Brandy's restaurant the morning of your tour. All your gear, such as backpacks and trekking poles is provided.

  • Grand Canyon South Rim

    The rest of the day is spent traveling to various viewpoints along the South Rim in a comfortable air conditioned van or SUV. At each viewpoint we will exit the vehicle and your guide will spend time showing you views through the provided spotting scope and regale you with interpretation that includes information about the plants, animals, peoples, history, and archaeology of the Grand Canyon. The viewpoints included depend on weather, time of year, crowds, and guide preference. They may include, but are not limited to: Mather Point, Grandview Point, Moran Point, Tusayan Ruins, and Desert View Watchtower.

The BEST Day at Grand Canyon!

An absolutely five-star day from start to finish. The arrangements were perfect in every way, and guide Patrick was incomparable - highly knowledgeable and very personable. Magical Grand Canyon Experience

We had a wonderful day with John! He picked us up at the Grand Canyon Under Canvas property and he was so nice and helpful as we hiked the Hermit Trail. We learned a lot about the Grand Canyon and John was so attentive to our needs and skill level. The lunch was yummy and it was lovely eating overlooking the Grand Canyon. My only constructive feedback is that I didn’t appreciate that we paid a 10% booking fee booking thru under canvas directly. I would book directly with All Star Tours next time. Thanks for a magical experience!

Don't go to the Grand Canyon without ALL STAR TOURS

Treat yourself and your family and friends to a tour with All Star. This was my 6th tour with the company, each time we go I wonder how All Star can top their last tour but they always do. Jeff our guide for the last 3 or 4 tours is the best! He makes each person in your party feel connected to, he shares so much knowledge and customizes the day to fit the people in your party. We have taken friends, elderly relatives, and couples. The sunset in the park with wine and charcuterie was the cherry on top.

A fantastic private tour of the Grand Canyon

This was one of the best guided trips we have ever taken. We booked a private 10:45-sundown tour of the Grand Canyon and we were promised a tailored, luxury experience and the tour lived up to the promise and then some. Our guide David met us early at Under Canvas in a comfortable van that was stocked with a fantastic variety of cold drinks, fresh fruit, and snacks that started the trip off right. It was exceptionally hot the day we scheduled our tour and we were concerned that we would have a difficult time with the heat. Our tour included our nine year old son and we were also worried he would be bored. David really made the trip enjoyable despite the heat. We were able to really get a sense of the majesty of the Grand Canyon through its wondrous beauty, its history, the danger it can present to the unprepared, as well as his relationship to the park. Highlights are many but included: * David made sure our first view of the park was breathtaking * We avoided the crowds (big win!) * Lunch was on a tablecloth, was delicious and included all the accoutrement * Sunset wine toast with charcuterie and cheese * Mindfulness moment to pause and reflect on the grandeur of the Grand Canyon The biggest highlight though was that our nine year thought David was the coolest guy which meant he was totally into the experience. We are looking forward to having All Star handle our next tour.
