Overview

Go where the traditional tourist circuits will not, allowing a different view of these two volcanic complex classified as protected landscape. At the center of the island 947m above the sea level rises Pico da Barrosa, where throughout the route we can observe the diversity of the local fauna and flora. An enormous crater hides the glamorous Lagoa do Fogo at the top of the Fogo Volcano at 575m above sea level. The beauty of the scenery sharpens ours senses with the luxurious vegetation – some endemic. Toward to the west side of the island with stops at dazzling locations that raise the spirit gathering happiness, go to the inside of the caldera of Sete Cidades Volcano, uncovering secrets and legends that Sete Cidades encloses. Spectacular landscapes that reveals the magnificence of what nature presents us, on a journey that will last in your memory.

  • Caldeira das Sete Cidades

    You will be driven through the north ridge of the crater where along the way you have the most amazing views either side. astonishing veiws of the inside of the crater and the ocean surrounding the island heading inside of the crater of the volcano.

    In the center of the island we have Fogo Volcano that rises up to 947m above sea level with manisfestations of secondary volcanism and with a collapse caldeira with 2,8km in average of diameter

Great Guide, Great Tour

Jose was great. So knowledgeable. He planned the day based on the weather conditions and we managed to see all the sights in sunny conditions. I was impressed by all of the information he had to share about local plants, animals and customs. Would definitely recommend this trip!

What a Day of Beauty!

We had a very special day with Jose. We spent 8.5 hours seeing all of the beauty that Sao Miguel has to offer. Jose has lived here all his life and is a wealth of knowledge on the whole area. This tour was the highlight of our trip!

This was one of our best days. Our driver was an excellent guide and host, who did everything possible to show us the best of the island in comfort. His obvious enthusiasm was evident throughout the day. I would highly recommend booking this tour.
