Located in the southern part of Crete, the Palm beach of Preveli is a place people should definitely visit while in Crete. Its like an oasis, between the wild deserted mountains of SouthCrete. A unique landscape, consisting of a gorge, followed by river and surrounded by palm trees, ending at the Libyan Sea. You'll also get to explore the beach of Damnoni and the capital of the Region, Rethymnon!

We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus drive to the first stop will differ.

1st stop: Damnioni Beach Arrive by bus at the beach of Damnioni and embark the boat which will take you to the unique Palm Forest of Preveli. Boat Trip: 30 minutes

2nd stop: Preveli Palm Beach – 1 hours 30 minutes Arrival at the famous beach of Preveli. Our participantswill have plenty of free time to enjoyswimming, explore a unique mix of sandy beach and green river flanked by palm forests and rocky surroundings.

Boat Trip back to Damnioni: 30 minutes

3rd stop: Damnioni Beach Arrival at Damnioni, free time for 1 hour to enjoy lunch at a local tavern.

Kourtaliotiko Gorge

Bus Drive: 20minutes After a 20 minutes bus drive we will arrive at the Gorge of Kourtaliotiko. Experience the wild natural landscapes and spend 10 minutes of free time in order to admire the view of the Cretan Nature and take some pictures!

Rethymnon Old Town

The Bus Drive to Rethymnon will take 30minutes. Then we visit the picturesque old town of Rethymno. Enjoy your free time to walk along the old port, its iconic small streets with local cafes, and its beautiful beach road for 1.5 hour.

Embarkation in the buses from Rethymnon and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants in the morning. Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places of each one, the time of journey back to the hotel will differ. Bus Drive: 1 hour 30 minutes

Great tour to see a few places in Crete

Great value and wonderful tour to see 2 beaches with unbelievably clear blue water. The view from the boat was amazing. The tour guide was well -organized considering the large group size. Highly recommend. The town of Rethymno was pretty- would have liked more time there.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Prevelia beach is just like being in the Caribbean. Great for snorkeling too. Would definitely visit again.

Amazing day out discovering more of Crete

The tour was a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure and exploring. We enjoyed learning more about Crete on the bus drive and got to experience everything that we were told about. At each stop there was enough time to take pictures, relax, explore, swim, eat or have a drink. Definitely take your time to have an incredible lunch at one of the local taverns at Damnoni. The tour guide was professional and nice. She is was very approachable and took the time to talk to each participant of the trip. My favorite part of the trip was the beautiful nature that we saw on the drive from Heraklion to Damnoni Beach. My partner and I were both amazed by the breathtaking landscape. Thank you Cretan Odyssey!

We had a fantastic day out visiting Preveli Palm Beach and Rethymnon. The trip was as described and we were very pleased. We enjoyed the boat journey along the coast and Palm Beach was excellent. Also enjoyed the time in Rethymnon on the return. The tour guides were professional and friendly and we would be happy to recommend this trip.
