We were lucky to have a private food tour in Parma with Darren as it was late November and not many tourists. Darren was friendly, professional and more than happy to share his local experiences, knowledge and insights with us, having lived in the region for the past few years. He first brought us to a local salumeria and explained the different types of cured meats and cheeses, followed by a tasting session at a nearby eatery, then fresh handmade pasta at another restaurant, then main courses at another (but we were too full by then), and finally ending off the tour with some lovely gelato with unique flavours. The tour was definitely worth the price and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Parma to really bring out the best that this city has to offer and someone like Darren to bring it to life!
