As we make our way to the flower market at Cours Saleya, we’ll pause briefly at the impressive Nice Opera House. During the 19th century, Nice became a favored winter haven for European aristocrats, and this grand building captures the essence of that period. The Opera House, a collaboration between the city architect Brunati and Turin architect Perotti, was constructed in the neoclassical style, showcasing the strong Italian influence present in Nice’s architecture. Here, you’ll have the chance to capture stunning photos with the majestic theater as your backdrop. Just across from the opera, you can also visit the historic Dominican Fathers Convent, one of the oldest in the Dominican order, founded in 1205.
