Overview

Sunset sailing is one of the best evening activities to do during your stay in Newport, RI. Enjoy a relaxing sail around Narragansett Bay on a classic sailboat and see all of Newport's iconic sights from the water including historic lighthouses and landmarks, other classic boats and sailboats, bridges, mansions and more!

Meeting points

We're located at 24 Bannister's Wharf off America’s Cup Ave and south of the Newport Harbor Hotel. Look for a large flagpole, turn toward the water, walk down the brick walkway past the lemonade stand and take a left. Look for the big green canvas canopy above our ticket booth.

  • Groups of 10 or more, whether booked together or separately, will be contacted by the operator for a 15% gratuity. Multiple large group bookings are subject to added fees or cancellation by operator
  • For those 12+ years or older to attend
  • Please note parking is difficult in Newport, especially on weekends. Allow at least 60 minutes to park, especially on weekends and holidays as no refunds are given for missing the boat. Guests should plan to arrive at our ticket booth 20 minutes prior to your departure time to check-in. The boat will leave promptly at the scheduled departure time.

Sunset sailing cruise

We joined a cruise of about 30 people on Madeleine. The crew were really helpful and light hearted (but clearly competent sailors). We didn’t expect any commentary but they offered 3 or 4 witty explanations of sights and views. Well done to all

Fun Experience!

Such a fun experience! My friend and I were walking around and the wharf discussing how fun a sail would be--we looked up and saw the next boat was leaving in 15 min for a sunset sail. We immediately booked our tickets and got on--what a fun time! The crew was awesome, the serve champagne and beer (soft drinks and water too!) throughout the duration of the sail with some light narration of local historic spots. Super fun and would love to do it again.

What a beautiful way to see Newport! The boarding process was super simple. The crew of the Madeline was EXCEPTIONAL!!! What a relaxing way to spend an evening in Newport! 10/10 would do it again!
