The exuberant wildlife of Ancon Hill such as sloths, toucans and, some of the smallest monkeys, the Geoffrey Tamarin monkeys that inhabit the area will surprise you...! Upon reaching the top of the hill, while you enjoy the beautiful view of the city and the sunrise, our guide will offer you fresh fruits and natural seasonal juices, to make your experience even more rewarding.

    We pick-up all travelers on your hotel, hotels, or apartments in Panama City. Be aware of the communication from our guide the day before the tour to coordinate meeting points and pick-up times.

    This is where we park our van and start the walking tour. Our guide will give you a brief explanation of what awaits us on this light hike. You will be given your flashlight and a bottle of water to start our ascent to the top of the highest point in the city.

  • Ancon Hill

    Ancon Hill is a nature reserve of wildlife. You will make a walk of about 30 minutes to the top of the Hill. The walk is quite easy and moderate. The road is paved, and it is not necessary to be in perfect physical condition, since the walk is very entertaining and at that time of the morning, the weather remains very fresh and pleasant. During the walk you can see armadillos, sloths, anteaters, dendrobates auratus frogs and you can also watch a lot of birds, such as toucans and parrots among many more. When you reach the top of Ancón hill, while you relax and prepare for the show that nature will offer you, your friendly tour guide will prepare a light breakfast with fruits of the season and juice, while you enjoy and take the best pictures of the city ​​of Panama.

Great Morning Hike

Great hike with our guide Luis, who was knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see several of the critters I was hoping to see as well as spectacular views. It’s not a long hike, though a little steep, but done at a very easy pace. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful nature excursion with fantastic guide, Rafael

Amazing guide Rafael. He knows the history of his country as well as animals and plants. We arrived in time for sunrise and saw lots of animals: Agouti, sloths, toucans, parrots, a pretty red bird and a poison dart frog. I had a great time and Rafael took some awesome photos for me.

Wildlife galore in the middle of the city!

Fantastic tour! We saw so much wildlife and had incredible views of the city AND the Canal! Toucans, parrots, caracaras, and tons of other birds, agoutis, poison dart frogs, a sloth and the highlight - titi monkeys! Rafa was the perfect guide - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and did not rush us. HIGHLY recommend!

A history lesson and nature walk combined

Raphael was engaging and knowledgeable about the history of Ancon Hill. Even though I was the only participant, he did not cancel. We walked up hill at my pace. We listened for birds and other animals. On the way down at the last flight of stairs, I was rewarded with the sighting of a sloth. It was moving in n the trees. On of the best tours I’ve been on.

Lovely views of the city & canal zone, plus lots of birds. Had the afternoon walk with Luis & 2 other travelers. Good communication with Conozca Primero before the tour & the team is super friendly. Luis told us about the area's history & the plants/animals. Saw a lovely toucan & many other birds. Book directly on *their* website for the best price.
