We will pick up all the customers in their hotels, but, according to the hotel location could be the first or the last for the pick up (Please be patient). after the pick up we must drive during 45 more minutes to get to the mud volcano.

Volcan de Lodo El Totumo

Upon arriving at the volcano, the guide will give you the recommendations and instructions that you must follow to enjoy this experience. The volcano has a height of 20 meters (60 feet) and a depth of 2,300 meters (6,000 feet) but due to the density of the mud, people cannot sink into it. Furthermore, the mud has a chemical composition of 40 minerals that make it makes it healthy for your skin, exerting a rejuvenating effect on it. This visit includes a snack of arepas or empanadas with water or soda. We don't include the tips, for the services you'll receive there like massages, pictures, showers.

The whole experience from pickup to drop off was amazing. Gabriella was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable on the area and was super detailed on the schedule to ensure our group knew what to expect to get the maximum from the experience. The photographer she arranged took hundreds of photos and videos to make the trip memorable. The massage in the mud pool was so relaxing. The food we had at the site was sooo good. I’d highly recommend to go as early as possible when it’s still cooler and quieter. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and the driver even stopped for us on the way back to take some photos at the Cartagena sign. Can’t say thank you enough!

Gina and Carlos provided us with a wonderful experience. They informed us of what to expect each step of the way, including appropriate tipping for the Mud Volcano staff. Gina told us about the local geography and history during the ride to the site and the ride back to the ship.

The guide was friendly, driver reliable. Amazing experience - arrived on time, lots of explanation of what’s going to happen, mud volcano was super unique. Lengthy massage in the pit (optional for those not wanting it), then you get rinsed in a local pond and are treated to fresh empanadas and soda by a local cook. Went with my teenage daughter who also enjoyed. 10/10!

Carlos was the driver of our van. He was terrific and provided a smooth ride while avoiding a few hazards. Gina was the tour guide and gave a detailed description of Colombia. She also knew Cartagena in excellent detail while giving the history, local sights, and a taste of the culture. The mud volcano was a unique experience of dipping yourself into a muddy volcano. Very fun and interesting without any fear or apprehension.
