Stroll through our famous Jean Talon Farmers Market - one of the biggest open-air markets in North America. Meeting points

Meet outside the main entrance of the Jean Talon Market, facing Henri Julien Ave. Closest metro is Jean Talon station on the Orange/Blue lines and is an 8 minute walk from the meeting spot. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start. The tour will begin on time and we cannot wait for latecomers.

An absolutely terrific tour!

Lesley, the owner was exceptional in booking a personal tour for our larger than usual group. We had 45 women. This was an additional tour in addition to her normal and fully booked season. Three guides were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all questions. The pace routing and time was right on schedule. The groups all thoroughly enjoyed this tour and will return with family and friends. Lesley provided a cannoli each from the well known patisserie in addition to a convenient shopping bag full of maps, and pertinent information for those exploring the area further. MTL and Lesley went above and beyond for our group. We thank you very much and will be scheduling another next season. This MTL rocks!

You will have the opportunity to discover the origins of this district as well as the history of the first Italians who settled in Montreal thanks to Isabelle's knowledge and anecdotes. Thank you very much for the little gifts and the moments of bonus tasting throughout the course, as well as for your precious advice and good addresses! This was one of the best experiences I had in Montreal, even though I live here for almost 4 years. Two hours flew by as we were entertained by such interesting stories from the past and present of Little Italy and Jean Talon Market. Even my 12 year old boy enjoyed it (and that says a LOT)!! MTL Detours tours are truly memorable, I cannot wait to do their Old Montreal Tour!

Isabelle was an amazing guide!!! So friendly and so knowledgeable about all- things related to Montreal culture and history. There were even some very delicious and well-timed treats in the tour! I learned a lot and laughed a lot. Loved the small group and had so much fun!
